Semi-rigid braided rope Made of cotton. It is a cord-type rope with a tubular shape, containing a core of cotton threads inside. This rope is specially designed for machine sewing with a zig-zag stitch and for macramé projects that require body. Its thickness and strength make it the ideal rope for these types of projects. Thanks to the rope's firmness, the finished product maintains its shape. The rope is made from recycled cotton, giving it a soft and pleasant texture to the touch, as well as the flexibility needed for zig-zag sewing.

WHAT THREAD DO I NEED FOR MACHINE SEWING?

It depends on the project you are going to undertake. The main feature you should focus on is the hardness of the thread. We have two types of thread suitable for machine sewing, classified according to their level of hardness:

• Semi-rigid sewing cordContains a cotton core and has medium firmness. It’s not as soft as the typical cords you find for macramé or crochet; it has more body and holds its shape very well, which is essential for machine sewing.
• Extra-stiff thread for sewingIt contains a polyester core and has a very high hardness. It is very hard and rigid.

Depending on the project you are going to undertake, you will need a rope with more or less stiffness. If it is for tablecloths, soft baskets, or a soft bag, we recommend this 7mm semi-rigid rope, which will be more suitable for softer projects that do not require much rigidity. If it is for a bag or a basket that needs to hold its shape well and be rigid, or for example a very large basket, we recommend the extra-rigid 6mm rope.
