The rope's body is made of recycled cotton, giving it a soft and pleasant texture to the touch, as well as the flexibility needed for zigzag stitching.
WHAT THREAD DO I NEED FOR MACHINE SEWING?
It depends on the project you are going to undertake. The main feature you should focus on is the hardness of the thread. We have two types of thread suitable for machine sewing, classified according to their level of hardness:

Extra-rigid thread for sewingContains a polyester core and has a very high hardness. It is very hard and rigid. This is achieved thanks to a soul made of extra-strong polyester fibers. You can't achieve the same result with a cotton core; the rope doesn't hold its shape as well.

Semi-rigid sewing cordContains a cotton core and has medium firmness. It is not as soft as the typical cords you find for macramé or crochet; it has more body and holds its shape very well, which is essential for machine sewing.
Depending on the project you are going to undertake, you will need a rope with more or less stiffness. If it's for a bag or a basket that needs to hold its shape well and be rigid, we recommend this extra-rigid 6mm cord. If it's for tablecloths, soft baskets, or a soft bag, we recommend the semi-rigid 7mm cord, which is more suitable for softer projects that don't require much stiffness.
